For the first time, the Tasmanian Devil appears on the rear fender of the Monte Carlo pace cars. Affectionately nicknamed "Taz," he's known as one of the world's most recognizable and imaginative cartoon characters.
"We've teamed up with Warner Bros. to incorporate Taz as a common thread throughout all of our Monte Carlo marketing and advertising in the future," said Parkinson. "He's associated with power and speed, which makes him a natural part of our Monte Carlo brand image."
Consumers can expect to see Taz in an upcoming series of TV ads that place Taz on screen with real live actors. It's the same kind of Hollywood magic that allowed Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny to share screen time in the 1995 Warner release, "Space Jam."
According to Parkinson, Taz is a perfect fit for Monte Carlo because he represents the typical driver's alter ego. "Let's just say that Taz represents the driver trapped inside us that loves getting behind the wheel of a car that's fun to drive," said Parkinson.
